The finches here have a nest in a hanging flower basket on the porch, despite the fire and smoke everywhere. I wish I were a bird myself, and could fly away from here.
Wow, I’m amazed the birdies can take the smoke. It sounds unreal out there — and it *looks* unreal in the online photos. As for escapes, there will be an actual bed at my new house before too much longer…
